Waste & Recycling Services

The Town of Lac du Bonnet is pleased to provide reliable and efficient waste collection services in partnership with Bristal
Hauling
, our contracted service provider.

As part of this transition, residents can expect continued curbside pickup of household waste and recycling, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible community. Bristal Hauling brings a strong commitment to dependable service and modern collection practices that support the Town’s waste management goals.

Residents are encouraged to ensure that all waste and recycling materials are properly sorted and placed at the curb by the designated collection times. Following proper guidelines helps improve service efficiency and reduces environmental impact.

The Town of Lac du Bonnet utilizes the RM of Lac du Bonnet Transfer Station located on Provincial Road 520, just south of PR 313, for town residents to dispose of refuse that does not qualify for curbside pickup. Please click here for more information on schedule and costs to use this service. Please note that Town residents are charged as non-residents at the RM Transfer Station.

Give Away Weekend & Bulky Waste Pick-Up

In effort to ease the transition of our new Waste Disposal System, the Town of Lac du Bonnet has introduced GIVEAWAY WEEKENDS - one in the Spring and one in the Fall.
Give your unwanted items a new home!
Place REUSABLE items marked “FREE” at the curb on the designated Saturday and Sunday and then drive around and see if there's anything you like!
If you like it and it's marked FREE - take it!!!

For residential properties - what is not taken during the weekend, please leave curbside and these items, along with any other "Bristal" acceptable items, will be picked up by Bristal Hauling on the Monday, after the weekend. 
 
Bristal WILL accept:
Furniture - Chairs, Tables, Couches, Recliners, etc.
Appliances - Refrigerators (tagged Freon free),
Dishwashers, Stoves, Washers, Dryers, etc.
Fixtures - Bathtubs, Sinks, Toilets, etc.
Other - Cardboard, Large Plastic Toys, Metal, Tires, and E-Waste (electronics)
Bristal WILL NOT accept:
Hazardous Waste
Household Garbage and Recycling


Yard Waste Pick-Up & Chip Site

EFFECTIVE APRIL 24, 2026 THE CHIP SITE IS OPEN FOR THE SEASON 

The Town of Lac du Bonnet is streamlining curbside yard waste pick-up to lessen our carbon footprint, optimize resource allocation and encouraging residents to explore environmentally friendly alternatives.


Curbside Pick-Up:
Every Wednesday from May 1 to October 31 each year (excluding statutory holidays)

Drop off Option (Anytime):

Town residents may drop off their yard waste - branches, leaves and grass clippings only (no pressure treated or painted wood) at the old lagoon site off Provincial Road 502 adjacent to the Arseniuk Wild Rice Plant.

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm & Saturdays 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (closed all statutory holidays)

Please Remember:

  • 3 Bag Limit/week
  • Must be curbside by 8:00am
  • Paper bags ONLY
  • Bags not to exceed 50lbs

Branches must be bundled and tied & should not exceed 4 feet in length & 3 inches in diameter.

Skip the Rake! Leave the Leaves!

Make your yard and gardens healthier with fall leaves.

  • Mow them several times and leave them on the lawn as mulch.
  • Add them to you compost pile as layers to cover food waste.
  • Spread a thick layer around trees and flower beds.
