RM and Town of Lac du Bonnet Issue RFP to Gauge Entrepreneurial Interest at Lakers Park
The Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet and the Town of Lac du Bonnet have jointly released a Request for Proposals (RFP) to gauge interest from qualified and innovative businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations interested in operating outdoor recreation and service-based businesses at Lakers Park.
This initiative aims to enhance the visitor experience, promote local economic development, and support sustainable outdoor recreation by introducing a range of complementary services and amenities within the park.
Proposed business opportunities may include, but are not limited to:
- Food and Beverage Services such as food trucks, coffee stands, or seasonal refreshment vendors
- Outdoor Equipment Rentals including e-bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, fishing gear, and winter recreation equipment
- Guided Recreation and Experiences such as nature tours, outdoor fitness or yoga classes, and adventure-based activities
- Retail and Specialty Vendors offering outdoor gear, artisan products, souvenirs, or locally made goods
Successful proponents will be responsible for establishing and managing their operations at Lakers Park, securing all required permits, licenses, and insurance, maintaining high standards of customer service and safety, managing waste within their designated area, and complying with all applicable municipal, environmental, and health regulations.
