Municipal elections in the Town of Lac du Bonnet are held every four years. These elections are governed by the Manitoba Elections Act, ensuring fair and transparent processes for all candidates and voters.

Eligibility to Vote

To be eligible to vote in the municipal elections, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Be at least 18 years old on election day
  • Have resided or owned property in the Town of Lac du Bonnet for at least six months prior to election day

Eligibility of Company Owned Property:

The owners of a corporation or a company do not quality to vote in a municipal election as non-resident owners. Unless you are a resident of the municipality, your property must be registered in your name and not in the name of a corporation before you qualify to vote.

How to Vote

Voting can be done in person at designated polling stations or through mail-in ballots. Detailed instructions and locations will be provided closer to the election date.
